  • Inside Sales Coordinator Arpa USA

    Arpa USA is the branch office organization of Arpa Industriale responsible for the North American market, which includes the United States, Mexico and Canada. To support and accelerate the recently started fast growth of FENIX material and HPL in the North American market, Arpa USA is strengthening its sales organization.

    In the USA, Arpa is a fast growing niche player selling Arpa HPL and FENIX material mainly to distributors, fabricators and end-users like kitchen and furniture manufacturers. We are looking for an INSIDE SALES COORDINATOR who proactively helps us take this potential and turn it into sales by building stable relationships with old, new and existing customers.

    The INSIDE SALES COORDINATOR will be responsible for all opportunity management that does not require physical presence. He or she will report to the Customer Service Manager. His or her main responsibilities and activities include:

    • Prospecting and identifying new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow up and outbound cold and warm calls and e-mails.
    • Qualifying leads.
    • Pro-actively manage the opportunity pipeline and customer contact.
    • Negotiating and effectively closing projects.
    • Supporting outside sales with pipeline management and sales of larger projects.
    • Using CRM (Sales Force) to manage day-to-day activities.
    • Working cross functionally with various internal teams in the US and Italy.
    • Providing information about the company’s products and services and explaining its features and benefits.
    • Assisting with sales and order entry administration tasks whenever required.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE
    The ideal candidate for the function is an experienced inside sales professional with a track record of opportunity management and pro-active sales.

    Background:

    • Education at least at Bachelor level.
    • At least 5 years of experience in a professional organization.
    • At least 2 years of proven experience in inside sales, preferably of physical products.
    • Experience in working with CRM (for example Sales Force) and ERP (for example SAP).
    • ​Experience in working in an international, culturally diverse organization.
    • Experience in conversion; taking the sales process further one step a time by phone and e-mail.

  • Job Automation Engineer

    We are in search of an Automation Engineer who is a specialist in automation systems for production lines.

    +

    Safety, visualization, quality control, traceability etc. are all part of the automation.
    Next to automation of handling systems and process systems the digital communication to production planning, available raw materials and process parameters is essential to guarantee quality control and high efficiency in output.
    The first job includes commissioning, testing and start-up of a new production line, designed as written above, in a close team-work environment with engineers, scientist, technicians and equipment suppliers.
    Development and implementation of production improvements, training of the users and technicians, integration of automation system changes including new systems and maintaining software and hardware systems in future, is all part of the job.

    PROFILE OF CANDIDATE

    Background and experience:

    • Ability to read and apply P&ID’s control strategies.
    • Knowledge and understanding of instrumentation applications is preferred.
    • Knowledge and understanding of web-handling systems is preferred.
    • Familiarity with SEW drives is preferred.
    • Remote service application for suppliers.
    • Wireless control systems.

    Selection criteria:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, product manufacturing or related technological field.
    • 5+ Years of relevant work experience in automation , experience in operations/manufacturing environment, preferable with converting lines.
    • Knowledge and experience with Siemens PLS’s, S88 structure, WinCC, Scada, HMI, systems and programming.
    • A solid understanding of data exchange with MES and SAP applications is required.
    • Multi-disciplined engineering understanding of Safety(PL & Sil), mechanical, Process, electrical and instrumentation software principles are required.
    • Excellent vocal communication as well reading and writing of Italian and English language is required.

    For our plant located in South Piedmont (ca 350 people) we are in search of a Maintenance Engineer with an academical background in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering (master degree).

    Background and experience

    • Academical background in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering (master degree).
    • Developed his/her technical skills in a highly complex (ideally a combination of chemical and mechanical processes), highly professional, international environment (experience in a matrix organization is an advantage), including knowledge of systems like ISO 9000, 18000 and 14000.
    • A minimum of 8 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment including maintenance and project engineering.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing large projects.
    • Experience in managing efficiency and effectiveness of assets and team.
    • Demonstrated experience to manage and streamline multiple priorities and stakeholders.
    • Track-record in managing and delivering cross-functional tasks with effective liaison between EH&S, IT, Security and Procurement, including external contractors, vendors, professional consultants, and fire/building/planning/ governmental agencies.
    • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement and change management initiatives, and Root Cause Analysis.
    • Experience in managing budgets and maintaining KPI.

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of equipment repair/ preventive maintenance programs, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program implementation and facilities management.
    • Broad understanding of the major design engineering disciplines, i.e., piping equipment, process, civil/structural, instrumentation, and electrical and their interrelationship with process equipment.
    • Solid knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP (maintenance and projects), MS Office, AutoCAD.
    • Strong working knowledge of Safety Instrumentation Systems (SIS).
    • Fluent in English and Italian..

    For our plant located in South Piedmont (ca 350 people) we are in search of a Process Engineer. The Process Engineer will lead optimization activities in general and will be involved in building of a new state-of-the-art production line.

    Job Description    

    • Ensures structured project management from process engineering point of view (from definition of P&ID requirements, supplier selection and implementation up to test running, optimisation and maintenance instructions).  
    • Coordinates cooperation with external suppliers.
    • Works closely together with other engineering disciplines in an international team.
    • Defines the safety related impact of new developments (products, process, raw materials) in the areas of resin production, paper impregnation, medium density fibre board production and panel pressing including e.g. Management of change and HAZOP.
    • Plans and executes factory scale trial runs (including analyses and reporting of the results).               

    Requirements

    • Master’s  degree in Chemical engineering, chemistry, paper converting or similar Engineering discipline.  
    • - 3+ Years of work experience in the field of phenol or melanine formaldehyde resin production, high pressure laminate production or in related manufacturing areas like medium density fibre board production.      
    • Structured working style, strong communication skills.  
    • Ability to present complex data to a variety of audiences.  
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication Skills.  
    • Enthusiasm and great sense of responsibility.  
    • Ability to progress with several different tasks simultaneously and deliver to schedule.
