Comfort and elegance in Catalonia
A young Spanish couple was looking for a modern, functional, and welcoming space for their apartment in Lleida, in the Spanish region of Catalonia. To make them feel comfortable and inspired within the home life, the kitchen designed by Hubel – Lleida-based manufacturing company – is expression of functionality and refined taste.
The company created for the couple a living open kitchen, featuring Arpa® 3485 Baal – a truly love at first sight as Hubel claimed – where formal cleanliness embraces the warm conviviality of a wide island.

Off-white and grey are protagonists of the project, giving the space both visual softness and the right balance of contrasts. Applied to the island’s top and the backsplash, the dark stone decor of Arpa elegantly coexists with the warm white of the other kitchen’s elements and the surrounding furniture among light and dark grey tones, including chairs and sofa. “The combination of soft and dark tones creates a play of contrasts that brings both depth and subtlety to the space. The use of different textures is an effective way to break up monotony and reinforce visual harmony, while natural and artificial light play a key role in enriching and enhancing this feeling of balance.”
