ArchiThoughts-ArchiTouch

MDW26

Arpa®—together with the Broadview Materials brands FENIX®, Formica®, Homapal® and Getacore®—presents a preview of Archi Thoughts–ArchiTouch, the third chapter of the exhibition curated by Federica Sala and hosted at FENIX Scenario in Foro Buonaparte 66 during Milan Design Week 2026.

Milano Design Week
15 – 26 April 2026

Foro Buonaparte, 66
20121 Milan

ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch brings together six international architecture studios—Marion Mailaender, Parasite 2.0, RedDuo Studio, STORAGEMILANO, Studio GGSV and ZIMMER—within an installation designed by the architecture studio (AB)NORMAL.

ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch continues the research started by Musa and Federica Sala in 2024, involving Broadview Materials brands in exploring the role of surfaces and materials within contemporary interior design through collaborations with Italian and international designers. The 2026 edition focuses on Arpa® and its relationship with architecture.

“Third chapter of a trilogy aimed at giving surfaces a three-dimensional landing, the exhibition ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch is a research project disguised as a divertissement, as the title clearly suggests! Yet it cannot be read independently from the two previous chapters,” explains curator Federica Sala. “After exploring the potential of two of the Broadview Materials brands—first with FENIX® within the field of industrial design applications, and then with Formica® through the artisanal processes typical of collectible design, now widely seen in art design galleries—this year, with Arpa®, we decided to address architecture. But not architecture with a capital A; rather, that one with a lowercase m. This year, six Italian and international studios specializing in interior architecture have engaged with the theme of domestic micro-architectures. Six architectural projects at a domestic scale demonstrate the creative application of the group’s materials—foremost Arpa laminates, entirely produced in Italy—and their transformation into usable architectural volumes.”
