A fusion restaurant in Switzerland blends intimacy, elegance and entertainment
The bistro tables by Italian brand PF Stile, made with Arpa high quality surfaces, are protagonists of the interior design project of Tabla, a restaurant in Lugano, Switzerland. Offering a combination of Indian and Mediterranean cuisines, Tabla shows a romantic atmosphere, often hosting events with artists and celebrities.
“The aim was to create a design with a modern layout, balanced by a classic touch,” says Michele Marchiori, PF Stile designer.
The choice of materials and elements indeed defines a double-meaning vision: “We used small, bistro-style tables to create an intimate ambience for diners who are looking for a cosy and welcoming experience. We prioritised conviviality without compromising on elegance or comfort.”
On the use of the marble texture of Pulpis Dark in Luna finish for the bistro tables, Marchiori explains: “The Arpa decor selected for this project helps to establish the restaurant’s identity. It features deep, textured hues that dialogue with the other furnishing elements, creating a visual balance that envelops the guest in a unique sensory experience”.
As the designer suggests, PF Stile’s tables create a harmonious space in both aesthetic and tactile terms. “We were particularly taken with Arpa’s materials because they offered a wide array of colours and textures, allowing us to effortlessly single out the best solution for the design concept. What’s more,” Marchiori continues, “their strength and durability make them ideal for a high-traffic environment like a restaurant.”
