From an ancient oil mill to a contemporary restaurant

In Vallebona, a small town of Liguria, Italy, the restaurant Bene Wine & Kitchen shows the design project of PF Stile. Here, the bistro tables made with Arpa® decors, create a bridge between past and present charm.

“The project was born from the idea of reinterpreting an ancient Ligurian oil mill by transforming it into a welcoming and contemporary space,” says Michele Marchiori, PF Stile designer.

Within this natural and rustic ambient, diners are invited to take place at four-seater squared tables. Featuring two decors from Arpa’s Patterns Family – Oxun Corten and Voyage Copper – PF Stile tables elegantly fit in the countryside atmosphere of the restaurant. On one side, the cold metallic appeal of Oxun Corten is combined with Luna finish, creating a nice-to-the-touch and rough aesthetics. While the reddish nuance of Voyage Copper shows Urban finish: the sophisticated synthesis of a worked split stone texture and the smooth channeling of concrete.

“The tables with Arpa tops, featuring distinctive and refined surfaces, reflect a contemporary vision that perfectly complements the raw material of the stone walls and the exposed beams. The seating is simple yet showcases reinterpreted classic design; all these elements create a harmonious contrast.”

The designer continues, “The matt and textured finishes convey natural sensations, which pair well with the aesthetics of the location. Neutral tones were chosen to not only enhance the natural light but also highlight the original materials of the olive mill, such as stone and wood.”

Also, from the point of view of durability and resistance, PF Stile team was pleased with the performance of Arpa surfaces.

“We found a perfect aesthetic combination along with great resistance to daily use, ensuring long-lasting durability and ease of maintenance in a restaurant setting."
