Frammento #due, design by STORAGEMILANO

STORAGEMILANO, founded in Milan in 2002 by Barbara Ghidoni, Marco Donati, and Michele Pasini, presents Frammento#due. The project is a screen conceived as a mobile micro-architecture, a lightweight and mobile threshold capable of redefining space through the act of arranging itself.

Frammento#due by STORAGEMILANO is a version, designed for Arpa®, of the screen Frammenti di un discorso amoroso which Storage Produzione will present in its studio during Milan Design Week and which recalls Roland Barthes’ work. Both projects are constellations of fragments composed of autonomous elements that, when combined, generate variable configurations, constructing a space of thresholds that both screen and reveal.

“The screen represents one of the archetypes of living and, simultaneously, the most elementary form of architectural creation. A light presence, capable of transforming space with a minimal gesture, without imposing function or use,” explains the STORAGEMILANO studio. “You can’t pass through it, hold it, or inhabit it. It simply exists, and in doing so, it redefines its surroundings.”

The three-dimensional surfaces Arpa® Tuet Galea Green and Arpa® Brera Green in Rorà finish, oriented in different directions, create a dynamic and vibrant rhythm. These, combined with the FENIX® Verde Kitami edges and the metal inserts in Homapal® Copper Moon Dark, create a vibrant and configurable diaphragm that continually redefines the relationship between object and space.
